I used two different glazes on all of my bowls. One has sun kissed and blue gray. Another one has The blues and Grape. Then the last one is Canton Jade with shiny black. I created these pieces by pressing clay into a bowl covered with plastic and using the ribbed tool to smooth out the inside. I let the clay dry some before taking it out of the mold bowl then smoothing then bottom and outside to make sure it stayed together. These are suppose to be functional bowls used to eat out of, Hold coins, or hold jewelry. They go together because they are all bowls using a tape method to glaze patterns. I put tape where I wanted to keep plain at firszt to put my first color down. After many coats of glaze on the initial bowl I took the tape off to fill in the plain space with another kind of glaze. My goal was to make functional bowls. Two of them turned out well and I can achieve this goal. One of my bowls did blow up but My boyfriend said he had an idea on how to still make it useful. So overall I am happy with how the glazes turned out and how the colors go well together. i also really enjoyed the molding technique because it helps give you a good a goof base to start on to make it more successful instead of starting on your own. I love these bowls and will be using them a lot.
