The first studio habit I used was stretch and explore. I tried and failed many times with the cut of the lid and letting my handle dry too fast. I tried to rewetten the clay and redesign my handle but my teqniques to try and fix it were not working. Envision was the second studio habit. I carved out the design better to make sure the design stuck out better after being fired. I also had to shape the lid to fit and not be sharp after firing. The outside of the box I used jadeite glaze. Then the inside I used sun kissed I also had used sassy yellow but envisioned the glaze was too thin so I switched.

The first studio habit I used was developing craft. I have never worked with clay so learning the wetness and dryness of the clay was something i had to test out. I also used developing craft by testing out different types of glazes and what went well together. I also worked on engaging and persisting by learning what worked and having to remake the pots or transform them to make something even it was completely off from my first plans for the pots. I had trouble with smoothing everything out and keeping the thickness the same. On my white and pink pot I used pink a dot, poppy fields, and opaque white for under the color burst. The butterfly flower pot was made from grape on the inside then lilac and berry berry pie color burst for the outside. Then The apple shaped pot has glazes called true red, new leaf and chocolate. Overall the pots did not come out as I had hopes but I know what to work on and to fix for next time.
